Chakkraphon Tangsutthitham, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Sports, stated that Thai tourism is stepping into a new era – “The New
Thailand” - with a focus on quality and sustainability. Despite challenges
and changing traveler behaviors, Thailand remains a top destination. The
government and the Ministry are committed to advancing tourism in all
dimensions, from leveraging Thai soft power and embracing technology and AI to
enhancing safety, facilities, and service standards, in order to attract both
existing and new groups of tourists and ensure memorable experiences.
Supporting
Food & Hospitality Thailand (FHT) 2025 is regarded as a vital
initiative to drive tourism and related businesses. In addition to showcasing
products, innovations, and technologies from around the world, the event also
serves as a platform for networking, workforce development, and raising the
standards of Thailand’s tourism businesses. The exhibition is backed by leading
associations and organizations, including the Thailand Convention and
Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Thai Hotels Association, Thai Restaurant Association,
Thai Chefs Association, and Thai Spa Association, which help connect the
private sector with government to foster sustainable tourism development.
Furthermore, the Ministry is advancing the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism
and Sports Year 2025 campaign, and will use the event as a platform to
exchange ideas with associations and businesses.
Mr.
Manu Leopairote, Chairman of Informa Markets Thailand, the organizer of Food & Hospitality Thailand 2025, said
that monitoring global tourism trends alongside strengthening Thai
entrepreneurs’ capabilities has always been FHT’s mission. He emphasized that
looking ahead to identify and expand opportunities will elevate Thailand as a
leading destination, while enabling collaboration, knowledge exchange, and
access to world-class products, services, and solutions. By leveraging
innovation and technology, Thai businesses can enhance operations and services
to better meet traveler needs.
The
theme for this year is “Connecting Excellence in Food & Hospitality”,
bringing together global expertise and innovation to uplift the standards of
the food and hospitality industry in a sustainable way. The exhibition is
divided into eight zones: Food & Drinks, Café & Bakery, Shop &
Retail, Sips & Spirits, Foodservice Equipment, Hospitality Technology,
Hospitality Style, and Cleaning Supplies & Equipment. Over 3,000 brands
from 20 countries will showcase their offerings, alongside four international
pavilions from China, Malaysia, Italy, and South Africa, as well as six
specialty villages highlighting liquor, chocolate, tea, future foods, health,
and packaging.
The
event also features more than 60 seminars, workshops, and competitions, and
will be co-located with two major regional shows: Hotelex Thailand
and Hotel & Shop Plus Thailand. Together, the events are
expected to attract over 29,000 industry professionals from Thailand and across
the region.
